Paramount+ has unveiled the official teaser trailer for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2. The popular crime drama series returns a year after the conclusion of its debut season in September 2025.
Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 premieres on Friday, October 30 on Paramount+ with the Premium Plan. The series returns just ahead of Halloween 2026. The much-awaited premiere also marks the franchise’s 20th anniversary.
The second season of Dexter: Resurrection will see Michael C. Hall’s Dexter Morgan find himself up against two notorious killers. One is an infamous murderer with a decades-long history of crime, and another is a young psychopath terrorizing New York City. Amid the hunt, Dexter is also grappling with a midlife crisis. Meanwhile, Harrison, played by Jack Alcott, remains determined to find his own justice.

What happens in Dexter: Resurrection’s trailer?
Dexter: Resurrection’s trailer opens with an unsettling shot of Dexter at an optical store where he is getting his eyes checked. “Better before or better now?” an optometrist asks him as the camera flickers between blurred and clear shots of a white screen announcing the release date and a tagline that reads, “He’s back. And sharper than ever.”
The trailer then switches to a chilling montage of Dexter back in action with shots of different murder weapons. The video ends with Dexter putting on his new glasses as he gazes at the camera with a cunning smirk.
Dexter: Resurrection serves as a sequel series to Dexter and Dexter: New Blood. The show returns with Michael C. Hall as the titular serial killer alongside Uma Thurman, Jack Alcott, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, Desmond Harrington, and James Remar.
Season 2 will also star Dan Stevens, Bokeem Woodbine, Nona Parker Johnson, and Brian Cox. Krysten Ritter and Gabriel Luna will make guest appearances.
